Monday's March 2 - April 27 (8 days)
Learn to create the entire concept, style and artwork of a character from scratch. Learn how to develop the character’s personality by creating visual clues in the character’s physical features. Students will learn to draw facial features and body proportions to create a mini comic strip.

1/6 - 2/24 Chem Kitchen: The Science in Food
Monday's January 6 - February 24 (6 days)
Using food to learn science, participants will learn the different uses of flour and the different food that come from flour. We will discuss the reaction with yeast and flour with opportunity to bake bread and make pizza.

11/4 - 12/23 Papercraft: The Art & Engineering of Paper
Monday's November 4 - December 16 (6 days)
Introduce students the art of paper manipulation and the importance of geometric shapes in nature and technology. Learn to construct polygon masks, 3D optical illusions and 3D structure using paper, cardboard and other consumable goods.

9/9 - 10/28 The Sky's the Limit: Engineering Flying Technologies
Monday's September 9 - October 28 (6 days)
Join us and take to the skies! Students will become flight engineers and explore the mechanics of flight aviation design. Together we will explore aerodynamics by creating different kinds of aircraft. Participants will build fundamental cognitive, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Study meteorology and understand how we forecast weather. Create engineering tools to observable weather events. We will discuss temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind, humidity, precipitation and cloudiness.

Students build using wood as a primary material to create mechanical automata, moving sculptures and models. Some classes will allow students to use hammer and nail.

Travel back in time to the Middle Ages and explore medieval engineering. Learn how castles are constructed and the design of a draw bridge. Learn to build a catapult to lay siege on others.

9/10 - 10/29 Mission To Mars: Engineering Rockets & Rovers
Tuesday's September 10 - October 29 (7 days)
5 4 3 2 1.. Blast off ! Join us as we explore the universe and all things interstellar. Our little planet Earth is just a speck on the scope of our galaxy. Students will learn about space travel to Mars and other elements that are part of our universe. Discover the universe beyond Earth and between celestial bodies. Understand the physics of a flying rocket. Explore the world of rocketry as we discuss different flying object. Test your own rocket and see how far high it can fly. Learn the difference between meteors and asteroids. Study the chemical compounds of a comet. Build your own LEGO® rover. Program the rover to explore the colony of rough terrain in Mars.

Our young scientists will explore various forms of reactions. Each student will work hands-on testing theories by combining materials and observing the reactions. They will explore different forms of chemicals and gain new insights into different compounds. Students will explore new scientific terms, expand their vocabulary and knowledge of the world around them.

9/11 - 10/30 Mechanical Engineering: Systems in Motion

Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest disciplines of engineering, as many inventions from Ancient Greece, China, and Persia continue to be used to this day with little modification. Mechanical engineers are responsible for designing parts of machinery, both on small and large scales. The toys we played are designed by mechanical engineers. These classes introduce our engineers to fundamental concepts of energy, materials, and movement.

Join us as we perform stories, act skits, sing songs and dance to the beat in our creative comedy art series. We will learn what it takes to be a performer in front of the class and learn to work together with different improv games.

9/12 - 10/31 3D Design and 3D Printing
Thursday's September 12 - October 31 (8 days)
During this eight-week workshop series, students will learn about the wonderful world of 3D modeling. Participants will explore how computer-aided design has allowed engineers throughout the world to develop new architectural innovations, medical advancements, and create new toys. Students will have the opportunity to create their own 3D models and prototypes, all while learning how engineers are using 3D modeling and printing.

9/13 - 11/1 Scratch Studio with Makey Makey: Operation Game
Friday's September 13 - November 1 (8 days)
During this eight-week workshop series, students will learn to build their own classic Operation game with a modern-day twist. Participants will explore how product design in toys work with technology of today. Using Scratch programming and Makey Makey circuit board, students will learn about electrical circuits, hand-build their physical Operation board and program it to buzz when the circuits touch.
