9/8 - 11/17 Roblox Studio: Developer Hub
Thursday's September 8 - November 17 (11 days)
Roblox allow children to imagine, create and play together in immersive 3D worlds. Typically, children use Roblox at home with little to no direction. Roblox Studio allow students to create games using built-in 3D design tools and LUA scripting language. With our course, students take a big step forward by actually creating a parkour obstacle course game that can be published to the public. The course starts with simple coding concepts such as loop and conditional to get students familiar with text-based coding and gradually goes deeper to more advanced concepts such as variables, arrays, and more. They will learn workspace, objects, and how to configure properties of the objects such as color and texture. Students will be able to take knowledge they learn from this course and apply to their own future Roblox ideas.
Students are not required to bring personal equipment or have a Roblox account (we will provide a generic account). If students decided to bring their own device, they will need Roblox Studio installed on their Windows or Macintosh computers (no Chromebook), a (free) Roblox account, and mechanical mouse.
